I am Shedrick “Nato Caliph” Kelley, and I’m running for 7th Ward Alderman
I am here to fight for our community’s schools, jobs, safety and health.
We are in the midst of a global pandemic that has crippled our economy and made life difficult, and in some cases near impossible, for many working families.
With little relief from the state or federal government, we need St. Louis’ city officials to continue to step up. As we approach the release of a vaccine, Shedrick will prioritize an economy that works for all and provides for relief to those who are struggling.
We need increased investment in Health and Human Services, free and accessible access to the vaccine for all St. Louisans, and financial relief for individuals and small businesses struggling in our community. Shedrick will work with his colleagues at the Board to provide just that.
Government continues to be inaccessible for St. Louisans and confidence in our city’s elected officials is at an all-time low. Shedrick believes we need to empower the community to have their voices heard in government, and make it more accessible for them to do so.
From improving the publicity and accessibility of boards and commissions, to sharing regular updates with the community, to working directly with our neighbors to find out what they need - Shedrick will always put the people first and special interests last.
Protecting Our Public Goods
From airport privatization to the closing of our cities’ schools, we have seen special interests rise above OUR interests, the people’s interests.
For St. Louis to succeed, we need to be a city that provides world-class public goods and services - from education to utilities and much more. Shedrick will work to protect our public goods and services so that the people can have access to the St. Louis they deserve.
